Municipal vehicle hire company CTS Hire, has appointed Matt Lewis as its new Head of Vehicle Rental.
With over 25 years’ experience in vehicle leasing gained across a range of industries including logistics and distribution, Matt has worked on ‘both sides of the hire desk’, with extensive experience in every department from depot management and vehicle operations to contract hire and fleet management. In his last role he was responsible for over 2000 assets and a fleet team with 42 depots across the country.

Officially based at the company’s Northampton HQ Matt shares his time between CTS Hire depots and reports directly to managing director Bob Sweetland:

Matt grew up in Peterborough and still lives nearby along with his two sons. The family share a passion for motor sport, especially his daughter who is currently studying Motor Sport Engineering at University.
CTS Hire is the municipal vehicle rental division of contract hire and fleet management company Specialist Fleet Services Ltd (SFS), which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The CTS Hire fleet includes 3.5t-26t Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCV), specialist recycling vehicles, caged tippers, and hook loaders all available for short to long-term hire including contract hire options.
CTS Hire added two all-electric RCVs to its rental fleet at the end of last year giving councils and vehicle operators the unique opportunity to trial the technology over a period of months and make a proper evaluation before committing long-term. The initiative has proven very popular with councils and the vehicles have been hired by local authorities across the UK.
